One of the most important aspects to successful breastfeeding is the support of the public around them when mothers must feed their infants while out of the house. In 45 states across America, laws protect women from being treated differently by any establishment for breastfeeding.
In 2014, Michigan passed a law offering protection for breastfeeding women, Senate Bill 0674. It is now known as the “Breastfeeding Anti-discrimination Act”.
The Michigan Breastfeeding Network has an active campaign to help support mothers' right to Breastfeed Anytime, Anytime! Breastfeed Macomb is committed to helping build a breastfeeding friendly Macomb County but we need your help!
